Hello,

My spiritual journey began when I was about five years old, when neighbours invited me to church. I grew up in a Christian home, eventually becoming a Sunday school teacher and youth group leader. But my curiosity about religion extended beyond Christianity. My mother came from a Muslim family and my father from a Hindu family, and I was always fascinated by the different ways people believed in and worshipped God.
My faith has carried me through some of life’s most difficult experiences, including losing my mother at 13 and finding myself in an abusive relationship in my twenties.
During those years, I struggled with fear, suffering, and questions about God. While living in India at 27, I discovered Buddhism, meditation, and non-attachment, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of suffering, acceptance, and inner peace.
Years later, I discovered Judaism and fell in love with its emphasis on gratitude and finding meaning in everyday life. I eventually converted and found my spiritual home, while continuing to appreciate wisdom from other religious and spiritual traditions.
Today, my relationship with God is constant. I no longer turn to Him only when life becomes difficult because I trust that His guidance and protection are always present.
Through faith, meditation, manifestation, gratitude, and non-attachment, I continue working toward becoming the person I believe God intended me to be.
I created Shabbas Table to share weekly Torah reflections, practical guidance for Jewish converts, and spiritual wisdom from different traditions. It’s also a place to share my personal experiences and the lessons I’m still learning about emotional healing, purpose, and living with greater peace.
My hope is that whatever brings you here, you’ll leave with renewed faith, a stronger spiritual connection, and a little more hope for the journey ahead.
